Don Young Windows
Thermally broken aluminum built in Dallas for the Texas climate. Slim frames, big glass, and PolyPour technology that keeps the aluminum look without the aluminum heat.
comfort
Aluminum used to mean hot frames and sweating glass. Modern thermally broken aluminum changed that. Here is what Don Young windows change about living in your house.
Aluminum is strong enough to carry big glass on slim frames. You get larger views and more daylight from the same openings.
The PolyPour thermal break separates inside metal from outside metal, so the interior frame stays close to room temperature even in August.
Powder coated aluminum shrugs off sun, humidity, and storms. It will not warp, rot, or need repainting.
Our installation carries the Mr Windows Leak-Free Guarantee, a lifetime installation warranty on the work itself.
engineered
Don Young designs and builds these windows in Dallas for this exact climate. The pieces that matter most:
PolyPour Thermal Break
Insulating polymer poured between the interior and exterior aluminum sections of the frame.
Heat cannot travel through the metal into your house. The old aluminum weakness, solved at the frame level.
LoE-366 Glass
Insulated glass with a triple-layer Low-E coating, the benchmark solar control glass for southern climates.
Blocks most solar heat and the vast majority of UV while staying clear. Rooms stay cooler and floors and furniture fade slower.
Slim-Profile Frames
Narrow aluminum sightlines that carry large panes of glass without bulky reinforcement.
More glass per opening and a clean, modern look that suits contemporary Houston homes.
Powder Coat Finish
Baked-on powder coating, including dark colors that are risky on vinyl in direct Texas sun.
Want black or bronze windows? Aluminum handles dark finishes in full sun without warping.
Weather Sealing
Perimeter seals designed to block air and water infiltration in wind-driven rain.
Gulf storms push rain sideways. The seals are built for it.
Security Hardware
Strong locks and smooth-operating hardware sized for the weight of aluminum sashes.
Positive locking and easy daily operation, year after year.
cool
Slim aluminum frames mean the glass does most of the work. That is why Don Young pairs them with LoE-366, the solar control coating built for climates like ours.

Who Builds It
Don Young Company has manufactured windows in Dallas since 1978, designing for Texas heat, humidity, and storms. We install their aluminum line with our own crews and put our name next to theirs. Comparing options? Our MW Hybrid Series is the vinyl alternative, NT Windows is the other Texas aluminum line we install, and our aluminum windows guide explains when aluminum is the right material.
questions
What is PolyPour thermal break?
PolyPour is high-density catalyzed polyurethane poured between the interior and exterior aluminum sections. It blocks heat transfer through the frame so the inside stays cooler.
What glass comes on Don Young windows?
We spec LoE-366, a triple-layer Low-E coating that blocks most solar heat and the large majority of UV while staying clear. It is the benchmark solar control glass for southern climates.
Is modern aluminum efficient?
Older aluminum was a problem. Modern thermally broken aluminum closes that gap by separating the interior and exterior metal with an insulating barrier.
Will the interior frame get hot?
The PolyPour thermal break significantly reduces heat transfer. The interior surface stays much closer to indoor temperature compared to older aluminum designs.
What colors are available?
Aluminum supports durable powder coated finishes, including darker colors that can be challenging for vinyl in direct sun.
How does Don Young compare to NT Windows?
Both are Texas made aluminum options with thermal break technology. Don Young uses PolyPour and builds in Dallas; NT uses Twinsulator. Read our Don Young vs NT vs Pella comparison or ask us during your consultation.
