What is Twinsulator?
Twinsulator is NT's thermally broken aluminum window line. Its ThermaProtect frame and sash place an insulation barrier between the interior and exterior aluminum to reduce heat transfer while keeping a slim profile.
What glass comes on NT windows?
Twinsulator comes standard with Quad LoE-452+, a four-layer Low-E solar control coating on a 3/4 inch dual-pane insulated unit. It reflects solar heat, blocks the large majority of UV, and stays clear rather than tinted.
Is Twinsulator comparable to vinyl for efficiency?
Twinsulator is dramatically better than older aluminum systems and is designed to meet modern efficiency requirements. Premium vinyl can still be slightly more efficient, but Twinsulator closes most of the gap.
What finishes are available?
Twinsulator comes in three factory powder coat finishes: Creme White, Bronze, and Black. If you want darker exterior colors, aluminum handles them better than vinyl in direct sun.
When should I choose NT?
You want to keep the slim aluminum look your home was built with, or you want a value-smart aluminum window for whole-home replacement. Contemporary homes and larger openings are often a great fit.
